What emblems of infinity surround,
On ev'ry side attract th' observant view,
While thought disdains the circumscribed bound —
A type Iberia's warrior drew.
See them in language who can ever grasp
Expression, or the varied cadence ? Who
The pond'rous tome, History unclasp,
Presenting ancient themes — extensive — new?
View them in variegated fancy's dress,
In boundless Science, limitless in Art,
With all the million hues of loveliness,
And 'mid the countless thoughts that throb the heart,
But in th' expanse of ocean do wo find
Infinitude's resemblance as in potent mind ?
