What can describe the harp-notes' beauty more
Than does itself magically proclaim
All that as th' undiscover'd has no name.
Like mystic breath that wafts creation o'er,
Or murm'ring music of the pebbly shore?
Let thought wildly as its echoings rove
In search of fair analogies to prove
That lovely is its munificent store ;
Yet how compress them e'en if mind had power ?
Love, minstrelsy, and war — appropriate
Melody confers a beauteous dower,
If richest harmony can e'er await
Upon the " heavenly maid" who, smiling still,
Tho' mute in " Tara's Halls," circleth each hill.
