L'Amante
Del molto olor ch'al cor m'entrò basciando
Quel prezioso fior, che tanto aulia,
Contar né dir per me non si poria;
Ma dirò come 'l mar s'andò turbando
Per MalaBoc[c]a, quel ladro normando,
Che se n'avide e svegliò Gelosia
E Castità, che ciascuna dormia;
Per ch'i' fu' del giardin rimesso in bando.
E sì vi conterò de la fortez[z]a
Dove Bellacoglienza fu 'n pregione,
Ch'Amor abatté poi per su' prodez[z]a;
E come Schifo mi tornò fellone
E lungo tempo mi ten[n]e in distrez[z]a,
E come ritornò a me Ragione.

XXI. Der Verliebte.
Die Düfte alle künden oder sagen,
Die aus der Blume Placht ins Herz mir drangen
Bei meinem Kuß, wär töricht Unterfangen;
Doch sag ich, wie das Meer ließ stürmisch schlagen
Des Lästermunds normannisches Betragen:
Keuschheit und Eifersucht, vom Schlaf umfangen,
Erweckt der Schuft, daß sie vom Lager sprangen,
Um wieder aus dem Garten mich zu jagen.
Auch künd ich euch, daß hinter Festungsmauern
Gefangen Frohwillkommen mußte trauern,
Bis Amor sie durch Tapferkeit erlöste;
Und wie der Trotz gebrochen seine Treue
Und lange Zeit Verzweiflung mir einflößte,
Und wie Vernunft dann zu mir kam aufs neue.
