Though I should try to hide,
Some day the thread will break, the pearls
Be scattered far and wide;
Age cannot be defied.



Die Leiden kommen,
auch wenn ich es verdränge.
Einmal reißt die Schnur
und verstreut ihre Perlen.
Niemand trotzt seinem Alter.
